Preston Brown honored in 2024 Football opener

A 2010 graduate of Northwest High School Preston competed in football and basketball. As a senior basketball player, his team earned a share of the league championship and Preston was named 1st Team All-FAVC. He is a three-year varsity letter winner in football, a two-time 1st Team All-FAVC, 1st Team All-City selection, 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State honors recipient. While at Northwest he played linebacker and running back – rushing for 1,000 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He was an active member of the U-Knighted Knights. In recognition of his outstanding service and achievements, Preston was voted into the NWHS Hall of Fame Class of 2015.From NW, Preston earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Louisville and graduated early, in December 2013, with a bachelor’s degree in education. Preston Brown Youth Football and Cheer Camp

Northwest Football Program helped host the annual Preston Brown Youth camp on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Despite the weather forecast the day went uninterrupted as local students aged 8-13 were able to participate. The students were able to enjoy a walk on the red carpet through a balloon arch, top-notch skill instruction, an engaging cheer performance, 1:1 skills demonstration, autographs, trivia & races with Preston, jammin' sounds from DJ Essential, a Canes snack-boxes and Snowie shaved-ice to cool down!! >

Northwest Girls and Boys Golf

We will have combined middle and high school practices for both boys and girls golf teams beginning Thursday, August 1. Practice will be from 10 AM to 11:30. We will meet at the front of NWHS and move to the practice area beside the softball field. Golfers should bring clubs if they have them, but it is unnecessary, and will need an updated sports physical and being current in Final Forms. We will practice again on the 8th and then every day, after school once school starts
