CINCINNATI, OH — The Northwest Knights fell to Badin, 73-49, on Tuesday night despite a strong individual effort from senior guard Travontay Thomas.

Badin used consistent scoring in all four quarters to secure the win, outscoring Northwest 16-14 in the first quarter and extending its lead throughout the game. Badin led 34-24 at halftime and maintained control in the second half, finishing with a 73-49 final.

Thomas led all Northwest scorers with an impressive 25 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 6-of-9 from the free throw line. He also contributed eight rebounds and four steals in a strong all-around performance. Christian Craig added 11 points, connecting on three three-pointers, while contributing three blocks defensively.

Ethan Dixon anchored the boards for the Knights, pulling down nine rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass, and adding three assists and two steals.

As a team, Northwest shot 36.7% from the field (18-of-49), 25% from three-point range (5-of-20), and 57.1% from the free-throw line (8-of-14).

Badin was led by Carson Lowe’s 15 points, while Chandler Taylor added 11 and Eli Stroud contributed eight points and five rebounds. The Rams shot an efficient 54.5% from the field (30-of-55) and dished out 20 assists on the night.

Northwest will look to regroup as they prepare for their next contest, Friday, February 20, at home against Indian Hill.
