The Summit Country Day boys basketball team secured a strong home victory on Friday, February 6, 2026, defeating Northwest by a final score of 49–44 in a competitive, four-quarter matchup.
Summit Country Day set the tone early, edging Northwest 14–12 in the first quarter and maintaining momentum through halftime with a 22–19 lead. Both teams traded baskets throughout the second half, but Summit Country Day’s balanced scoring and defensive effort proved decisive down the stretch.
Christian Craig led all scorers with an impressive 18 points, shooting efficiently from beyond the arc and contributing on the boards. Travontay Thomas added 11 points, while Ethan Dixon and Eli Sterling each chipped in 6 points, providing valuable support across the lineup. Sterling also paced the team with 4 assists, helping keep the offense moving.
Defensively, Summit Country Day controlled the glass, finishing with 25 total rebounds, and forced key turnovers in the closing minutes. The team shot 57.1% from three-point range, a critical factor in maintaining their lead against a persistent Northwest squad.
